Part of the local history collection is exposed in the old chapel, from the findings of the Iberian town of Tower of te Enchanted to the Civil War. It is in this space where the relationship of our city with the sea stands out, with a sample of the riverside carpenter tools that are part of the Museum’s collection, 19th century navigation utensils such as octants and sextants, some from students from the Arenys de Mar School of Pilots and images of the construction of the fishing port and the development of tourism linked to the beaches and the marina.
On the first floor you will find the space “The tactile gaze” that makes it more accessible to visually impaired people, a good opportunity to learn about the art of pillow tips.
